The sixth constituency-Kibwezi West was won by a newcomer

Dr.Musimba said he was delighted with the honor bestowed on him by
the Kibwezi West voters and assured them of his desire to work with them to
improve their standard of living.

On her part Ms Museo pledged to champion the rights of women and
youth by ensuring they are empowered socially, economically and politically.

More worryingly is the fact that most of the winners got very few
votes. Daniel Maanzo who won Makueni seat polled 14,523 votes against Peter
Kiilu’s 12,677.

And in the newly created Kibwezi West constituency TIP leader
KalembeNdile lost to newcomer Dr.PatrickMaweuMusimba who managed 17,974.

The same voter apathy was seen in Kibwezi East where Ms Jesica
Mbalu, wife of Justice Mutava polled
13,012 votes against her closest rival Willy Malile’s 6,252. In Kaiti
Mr.Richard Makenga who had previously unsuccessfully contested the
parliamentary seat won with 14,472 votes.

The show was better in Kilome where Mrs.ReginahNdambuki scored
25,241 votes. Mrs.Rose Museo got 97,187 votes out of over 300,000 votes to be
the women representative in Parliament.
