Makindu town residents are in shock after a middle-aged man was found dead inside ABC Church in the China zone near the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway.

Area Chief Jackson Kimende reported that local herdsmen discovered the body and alerted authorities.

The DCI officers from Makindu visited the scene, collected evidence, and transferred the body to Makindu Mortuary for further investigation.

Identification documents found on the deceased indicated he was from Kiambu County.
This tragedy highlights the need for greater mental health awareness and support. Experts recommend community-driven solutions that  include public education on mental health issues, accessible counselling services, and peer support networks.
Other approaches entail economic empowerment programs and
faith-based emotional support initiatives.
