Ikanga MCA Arraigned for Alleged Ksh.2.2 Million Fraud

Ikanga Kyatune Ward MCA, Cyrus Kisavi Musyoka, was today charged in a Kitui court over allegations of forging vehicle documents to defraud the County Assembly of Ksh.2.2 million.
Musyoka faces five charges, including conspiracy to commit a felony, obtaining registration of a motor vehicle by false pretences, and forgery of a valuation report, all contrary to the Penal Code.
He is also accused of uttering false documents and making a false claim as a public official, offences under sections 353 and 100 as read with 102A of the Penal Code.
According to the state, Musyoka allegedly presented fraudulent motor vehicle purchase reimbursement documents in an attempt to deceive the County Assembly into paying him the amount.
The charges follow a recorded complaint filed by Rose Kavithe Ngoima.
Facts of the case indicate that the i MCA presented documents with the intention of defrauding the Kitui County Assembly of a sum of Ksh.2.2 million that was meant for the MCA motor vehicle purchase reimbursement.
