Gov.Mutula. KWS DG Launch Team to Draft Ngai Ndethya Reserve Land Management Plan
The process of developing a Land Management Plan for Ngai Ndethya National Reserve is officially underway following the formation of a multi-sectoral team to lead the initiative.

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Director General Prof. Erastus Kanga and Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. unveiled the team on Friday in Mtito Andei.
The team consists of representatives from KWS, the Makueni County Lands Department, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), the National Land Commission (NLC), national and county government administrations, conservancies, and local communities.
Governor Mutula also led a public engagement forum at Nthunguni Market, providing residents with an opportunity to voice their views on the reserve’s future.
The proposed plan seeks to balance human settlement, conservation efforts, wildlife protection, and sustainable development within the reserve.
