Ngilu’s UHC dream
gathers momentum

Access to health care is an important national agenda under the “Big Four” and the second pillar in our Manifesto.
As you will recall, discussions on Universal health cover were started by our Governor Ck Ngilu. Her vision has now come to pass that this is being achieved not only in Kitui but in other counties as well and will soon be replicated in all counties. The national govt is also very keen on it and our Governor is in the national planning committee, we are very proud of her.
It suffices also to note that health insurance cover is not just one of our key flagship projects but an international best practice, many countries are going towards it. We have the opportunity for our people to access free quality health care services through this scheme. This is a game changer to the health of our people as it takes away the financial burden associated with out of pocket expenditures. A lot has been done to get where we are, lets embrace this very noble project people have been demanding for it. Access to it is immediate on subscription, the benefit package is as communicated earlier through our ministry of Health. Let’s support this is what people want
